I had been wanting to attend the highly coveted global event called Dîner en Blanc (dinner in white in French). This year, I finally made it! From it’s origin in Paris, France to New Orleans, Louisiana and beyond, the invitational “BYOE” outing happens, annually, in cities around the world.

Janet Jackson’s 2023 concert, “Together Again”, will remain embedded in my mind.

During the last couple of months, I have been involved in a special project that highlights Boston-based artists. Early in 2023, after meeting with curator/educator Dzidzor Azaglo, she invited me to join Northeastern University’s archivist project entitled “Black Artists of Boston”. I worked with graduate studies students Istiakh Ahmed & Samantha Frost. Their final project is presented here in this short video.Just in time for Jazz Appreciation Month, the 2023 class cohort celebrated their work at the Strand Theater in Boston, MA.
