Woman’s History Month 2023: Meet the Colors Of Jazz All-Stars

On Sunday, March 19, 2023, I had the privilege to produce and host an important and live concert that sought to amplify the voices of women in jazz for women’s history month. We broadcast the live stream with audience in WICN’s performance Studio 50. It was an honor to introduce the listeners and audience in the room to the Colors of Jazz All-Stars. Recognizing the National Women’s History Alliance theme, “Women Who Tell Our Stories”, I assembled a band comprised of a quartet, and seven vocalists. The All-Stars played an unforgettable set, round robin style. Everyone in the audience had expressions of joy and excitement with hearing these amazing women perform together live in-studio for a concert that told “HERStory”.
