APAP|NYC 2023: Face to Face with Voices of MOIPEI

What a thrill to catch up with the award winning vocal trio MOIPEI. It had been nearly ten years since our first encounter. Back in 2014, I had the opportunity to interview the dynamic, triplet, teenagers Mary, Maggie and Marta Moipei. At the time, they were awaiting a flight, and heading back to their homeland of Nairobi, Kenya. Along with their parents and younger sister Sera, they took time to take my call. We spoke of their collective musical journey and the projects that the “quartet” was involved with at the time. Today, MOIPEI is based in the United States, on tour and making a name for themselves. We finally met face to face during the annual performing arts conference APAP|NYC 2023 where they showcased their talent. LISTEN TO INTERVIEW.
