The Red Lion’s Pie

Fun day in the Berkshires, exploring gardens, farms and lakes. Before heading home, we had to stop at the historic Red Lion Inn for their world famous apple pie à la Mode. This place not only offers a great hang after music Tanglewood, but for me it’s truly a slice of Americana with a cinnamon tinge! Nothing like warm honey apples folded into a light pastry and deliciously combined with the sweet tasting beans of vanilla ice cream. Sitting on the porch sipping on cucumber mint coolers made for a memorable evening in July.
